I've had little luck with removing stains from sisal or jute - I have no idea why they sell this product as rugs, in many cases they are not cleanable. I would seek out your local supplier for ink removers - and also try Fels Naptha to see if it can release anything at all, I've had luck with it on wool - never tried it on jute. Permanent marker is very difficult to get out.
